- 1 apple

- ¼ teaspoon salt
- ½ cup unsalted butter (melted)
- ¾ cup light brown sugar (packed)
- 1 large egg
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (180°C) and line an 8×8 inch baking pan with parchment paper.
- Peel, core, and chop the apple into small chunks, then toss with cinnamon and set aside.
- In a mixing bowl, whisk together flour, additional cinnamon, nutmeg, baking powder, and salt.
- In another bowl, combine melted butter and brown sugar until smooth.
- Add the egg and vanilla to the butter-sugar mixture, mixing well.
- Gradually mix in the dry ingredients until just combined.
- Gently fold in the cinnamon apples until evenly distributed.
- Pour the batter into the prepared pan and bake for 22-25 minutes until set.
- Let cool completely before slicing.
