- 2 Gala apples, thinly sliced
- 5–7 thinly sliced ginger pieces
- 2 whole cinnamon sticks
- 2 tablespoons pure maple syrup
- 4 ½ cups water
Instructions
- Combine all ingredients in a large pot.
- Set the stove to medium-low heat and partially cover with a lid.
- Simmer for one hour to allow flavors to meld.
- Strain the mixture using a super-fine strainer or mesh cloth into another pot.
- Serve in teacups or a kettle, garnishing with apple slices and a cinnamon stick if desired.
