- 2 Granny Smith apples, peeled and diced into small pieces
- ¾ cup water
- ⅓ cup granulated sugar
- 2 tablespoons cornstarch
- 1 ½ teaspoon lemon juice
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 2 containers Pillsbury refrigerated crescent dinner rolls
- ½ cup sugar
- 1 tablespoon ground cinnamon
- Caramel sauce for drizzle
- Vegetable oil for frying
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 375°F.
- In a saucepan over medium heat, mix water, sugar, cornstarch, lemon juice, cinnamon, and diced apples. Cook until thickened (5–7 minutes) and cool.
- Unroll crescent rolls into triangles; place about a tablespoon of cooled apple filling on each triangle. Roll tightly from the wide end.
- Mix sugar and cinnamon in a bowl; roll each bomb in this mixture.
- Bake on parchment-lined baking sheet for 15 minutes or fry in hot oil until golden brown (3–4 minutes).
- Drizzle with caramel sauce before serving.
