- 6 cups chicken broth
- 1 tsp minced garlic
- 2 cups quick-cook grits
- 8 oz smoked Gouda cheese
- 8 oz sharp cheddar cheese
- 2 tbsp butter
- 1/2 cup Half & Half
- 4 beaten eggs
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- In a large pot, bring chicken broth to a gentle boil. Stir in minced garlic.
- Gradually add quick-cook grits, reduce heat to low, cover, and cook until thickened according to package instructions.
- Remove from heat; stir in cheeses, butter, Half & Half, salt, and pepper until smooth.
- In a separate bowl, beat eggs and gradually mix them into the grits mixture.
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Pour the mixture into a greased baking dish and bake for about 30-45 minutes or until golden on top.
