- 1 ½ cups all-purpose flour
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1 ½ tsp baking powder
- ½ tsp salt
- ½ cup unsalted butter, softened
- 2 large eggs (room temperature)
- 2 tsp vanilla extract
- ½ cup whole milk
- For Salted Caramel Sauce:
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- ½ cup heavy cream
- ¼ cup unsalted butter
- 1 tsp sea salt
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a cupcake tin with paper liners.
- In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt.
- In a large mixing bowl, cream the softened butter and sugar until fluffy. Add eggs one at a time followed by vanilla extract.
- Gradually mix in the dry ingredients alternating with milk until just combined.
- Fill cupcake liners two-thirds full and bake for 18-20 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
- Cool completely before drizzling with salted caramel sauce.
