Ingredients
- 6 ripe peaches
- 2 tablespoons lemon juice
- 1/4 cup pure maple syrup
- 1/2 teaspoon kosher salt
- 4 tablespoons unsalted butter
- 1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
Instructions
- Optional: Blanch peaches in boiling water for one minute, then place in an ice bath for five minutes. Peel if desired.
- Pit and cut peaches into wedges.
- In a mixing bowl, toss peach wedges with lemon juice, maple syrup, and salt until coated.
- Melt butter in a cast iron skillet over medium heat.
- Add the peach mixture and cook for about 10 minutes until caramelized, stirring occasionally.
- Stir in vanilla extract just before serving.
