- 8 oz medium shell pasta
- 1 lb lean ground beef
- 1 medium onion, finely chopped
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 cups low-sodium beef broth
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 2 tsp Italian seasoning
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 1 tbsp olive oil for cooking
Instructions
- Cook the shell pasta according to package instructions until al dente; drain and set aside.
- In a large skillet over medium heat, drizzle olive oil and brown the ground beef for 5-7 minutes.
- Add chopped onion and sauté until translucent (about 3-4 minutes). Stir in minced garlic until fragrant.
- Pour in beef broth and bring to a simmer, scraping up browned bits from the pan. Stir in heavy cream, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper; let simmer for about 5 minutes until slightly thickened.
- Add cooked pasta to the sauce, stirring gently until well coated.
- Serve hot, garnished with fresh parsley or grated Parmesan cheese if desired.
