Ingredients
- 1 lb ground beef
- 3 teaspoons olive oil
- 5–6 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 small onion, finely chopped
- 3 tablespoons butter
- 3 cups beef broth
- 8 oz bowtie pasta
- 1 cup freshly grated Parmesan cheese
- 3/4 cup half and half or whole milk
- 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
- 1/2 teaspoon smoked paprika
- 1/2 teaspoon salt (adjust to taste)
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes
- 1–2 tablespoons fresh parsley, finely chopped
Instructions
- Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add ground beef and cook until browned, breaking it apart as it cooks. Drain excess fat if necessary.
- Stir in chopped onion and minced garlic; cook for about 2-3 minutes until the onion softens.
- Mix in Worcestershire sauce, Italian seasoning, and smoked paprika; let cook for another minute.
- Add butter to the skillet; once melted, pour in beef broth and bring to a simmer for about 3-4 minutes.
- Cook bowtie pasta according to package instructions; drain and set aside.
- Stir in half and half (or milk) along with Parmesan cheese into the sauce until creamy.
- Season with salt, black pepper, and red pepper flakes; allow flavors to meld for another 2-3 minutes.
- Toss cooked pasta into the skillet to coat evenly with the sauce.
