- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- ½ cup sugar
- ¾ tablespoon baking powder
- 3 large eggs (room temperature)
- ½ cup avocado oil or neutral cooking oil
- 3 medium apples (peeled and diced)
- ½ cup milk
- 2 tablespoons butter
- Powdered sugar for dusting
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 375°F and prepare a 7-inch springform pan by greasing it and lining the bottom with parchment paper.
- In a mixing bowl, combine flour, sugar, and baking powder. Stir well.
- Add eggs and oil to the dry mixture, mixing until smooth. Fold in diced apples gently.
- Pour the batter into the prepared pan and bake for 35-40 minutes until a toothpick comes out clean.
- In the last few minutes of baking, warm milk, butter, and additional sugar in a pot until dissolved.
- When done baking, poke holes in the top of the cake and pour the warm milk mixture over it.
- Let cool for about 10-15 minutes before serving.
