- 3–4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts (about 1.5 lbs)
- 2 cups low-sodium chicken broth
- 4 cloves fresh garlic, minced
- 1 packet onion soup mix (1 oz)
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1 tsp black pepper
Instructions
- Place the boneless, skinless chicken breasts at the bottom of the crockpot.
- Pour in the low-sodium chicken broth and add the onion soup mix and minced garlic.
- Season with black pepper to taste; optional herbs like thyme or rosemary can be added.
- Cover and cook on low for 6 hours or high for 3 hours until the chicken is tender.
- Remove the chicken, stir in heavy cream into the gravy, then return the chicken to the pot or serve plated with gravy drizzled on top.
