Ingredients
- 1/2 cup butter
- 1 cup sugar
- 1 cup flour
- 1 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
- 3/4 cup milk
- 1 can (29 ounces) sliced peaches in heavy syrup (do not drain)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F.
- Melt the butter in a 2 qt casserole dish (microwave works well).
- In a mixing bowl, whisk together sugar, flour, and baking powder. Stir in the milk until just mixed.
- Pour the batter over the melted butter without stirring. Then, pour the peaches (with syrup) over the batter without stirring again.
- Optionally sprinkle cinnamon on top.
- Bake for about 60 minutes until golden brown and bubbly.
- Serve warm with vanilla ice cream if desired.
