Ingredients
- ½ cup unsalted butter
- ¾ cup granulated sugar
- ¼ cup brown sugar
- ½ cup Dutch-process cocoa powder
- ¼ tsp salt
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 2 large eggs (room temperature)
- ½ cup all-purpose flour
- 1 tbsp cornstarch
- ¼ cup heavy cream
- 4 oz semisweet chocolate (chopped)
- Pinch of salt
- 2–3 tbsp rainbow candy-coated chocolate chips
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×9-inch pan.
- Melt butter in a mixing bowl, then whisk in granulated sugar and brown sugar until combined.
- Stir in cocoa powder, salt, and vanilla extract; beat in eggs one at a time.
- Fold in flour and cornstarch until just combined.
- Pour batter into the prepared pan and bake for 20 minutes or until a toothpick inserted comes out with moist crumbs.
- For the ganache, heat heavy cream until hot but not boiling; add chopped chocolate and stir until smooth.
- Once brownies have cooled slightly, pour ganache over the top and sprinkle with rainbow chips. Allow cooling completely before cutting.
