- 2 slices whole wheat bread
- 1 cup fresh mozzarella cheese (sliced)
- 1 ripe avocado (mashed)
- 1 medium vine-ripened tomato (sliced)
- 4 fresh basil leaves
- 2 tsp olive oil
Instructions
- Gather all ingredients: sliced bread, mozzarella, mashed avocado, tomato slices, and basil leaves.
- Drizzle olive oil on one side of each bread slice. Heat a skillet over medium heat and place one slice oil-side down.
- Layer fresh mozzarella on the bread followed by tomato slices and basil leaves. Spread mashed avocado on the second slice of bread.
- Place the second slice (avocado side down) on top of the layered cheese in the skillet. Gently press to meld ingredients.
- Grill for 3-4 minutes until golden brown; flip carefully with a spatula and grill for another 3 minutes.
- Remove from heat, let rest briefly, slice diagonally, and serve.
