- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter
- 2 cups mixed nuts (such as pecans and walnuts)
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1/4 tsp salt
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Coarsely chop the mixed nuts and set aside.
- In a saucepan over medium heat, melt the butter with the sugar until smooth and bubbly.
- Remove from heat and stir in vanilla extract and salt.
- Combine the nuts with the caramel mixture until fully coated.
- Spread the mixture evenly on the prepared baking sheet and bake for 10-12 minutes until golden brown.
- Allow to cool completely before breaking into pieces.
