- 1 tbsp key lime zest
- 1 tbsp key lime juice
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour

- 1/2 cup buttermilk
- For the glaze: 3/4 cup powdered sugar, 2 tbsp key lime juice
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F and grease a 9×5 inch loaf pan.
- In a mixing bowl, cream the softened butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
- Add eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition. Stir in key lime zest, juice, and vanilla extract.
- In another bowl, whisk together flour, salt, baking powder, and buttermilk. Gradually add to the wet ingredients until just combined.
- Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan and bake for about 45 minutes or until golden brown and a toothpick inserted comes out clean.
- For the glaze, whisk powdered sugar with key lime juice until smooth.
- Allow the bread to cool for about 10 minutes before transferring to a wire rack. Pour glaze over while still warm.
