- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 & ½ teaspoons baking powder
- 1 teaspoon ground cloves
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- ¼ teaspoon salt
- ¼ cup chopped pecans
- ½ cup unsalted butter (room temperature)
- ¼ cup white sugar
- ¾ cup packed dark brown sugar
- 1 large egg
- 3 tablespoons maple syrup
- ⅔ cup pumpkin puree (blotted)
- 1 cup powdered sugar
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 325°F (163°C).
- In a bowl, mix flour, baking powder, cloves, cinnamon, and salt.
- Cream butter and sugars together until light and fluffy.
- Add in egg, maple syrup, and blotted pumpkin puree; mix until combined.
- Gradually incorporate the dry ingredients into the wet mixture.
- Fold in half of the chopped pecans.
- Scoop two tablespoons of dough per cookie onto a baking sheet.
- Bake for 13-15 minutes until lightly golden around the edges.
- Cool on a rack and drizzle with maple icing topped with remaining pecans.
