  • 1 cup light or dark brown sugar
  • 2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1/2 teaspoon kosher salt
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1 tablespoon vanilla
  • 56 peaches, cut into 8 wedges
  • 2 tablespoons maple syrup
  • 4 tablespoons salted butter
  • 1/4 cup maple syrup

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F and melt cubed salted butter in a 9×13 inch baking dish for about 10 minutes.
  2. In a mixing bowl, whisk together flour, 3/4 cup brown sugar, baking powder, cinnamon, and salt. Add milk and vanilla; mix gently until just combined.
  3. In another bowl, toss peach wedges with remaining 1/4 cup brown sugar and maple syrup.
  4. Layer half of the peach mixture over the melted butter in the baking dish. Pour batter on top without stirring, then add the remaining peach mixture.
  5. Bake for 50-55 minutes until set and edges are golden.
  6. For maple butter, mix remaining butter with maple syrup and boil for two minutes.
  7. Serve warm or at room temperature, drizzled with maple butter.
