Instructions
- Heat olive oil in a large pot over medium heat. Add sliced turkey sausage and cook until lightly browned, about 4-5 minutes. Remove and set aside.
- In the same pot, sauté minced garlic for 30 seconds until fragrant.
- Add elbow macaroni, chicken broth, whole milk, smoked paprika, black pepper, and salt; stir to combine. Bring to a gentle boil.
- Reduce heat to medium-low, cover, and simmer for 8-10 minutes until pasta is tender, stirring occasionally.
- Lower heat; mix in sharp cheddar cheese, mozzarella cheese, and butter until melted and creamy.
- Stir in the cooked turkey sausage and heat for an additional 1-2 minutes.
- Serve hot with optional garnishes like fresh parsley or green onions.
