Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F and grease a 2-quart baking dish.
- Arrange peach slices at the bottom of the dish and sprinkle with 2 tablespoons of sugar.
- In a bowl, whisk together flour, sugar, baking powder, cinnamon, nutmeg, and salt.
- Melt butter and whisk in vanilla extract; pour over dry ingredients and mix until just combined.
- Spread the batter over the peaches evenly.
- Bake for 25 to 30 minutes until golden brown and bubbly.
- Allow to cool for about 15 minutes before serving.
