- 2 sheets frozen puff pastry (thawed)
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 2 tsp ground cinnamon
- 4 tbsp unsalted butter (melted)
- 1 egg (for egg wash, optional)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
- Roll out the thawed puff pastry on a lightly floured surface and cut into rectangles approximately 3 inches wide.
- In a small bowl, mix together the granulated sugar and ground cinnamon.
- Brush melted butter over each pastry rectangle.
- Generously sprinkle the cinnamon-sugar mixture over the buttered pastries.
- Twist each rectangle gently from one end to the other and place them on a lined baking sheet.
- If using an egg wash, brush it over the tops of the twists.
- Bake for 15-20 minutes or until golden brown. Let cool slightly before serving.
