- 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
- 1 packet ranch seasoning mix
- 1 can (10.5 oz) cream of chicken soup
- 1/2 cup chicken broth
- 1/2 cup sour cream
- 1/2 tsp garlic powder
- 1/2 tsp onion powder
- 1/4 tsp black pepper
- 1 tbsp olive oil (optional for searing)
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese (optional)
- Fresh parsley for garnish (optional)
Instructions
- If desired, sear the chicken breasts in olive oil until golden brown (optional).
- In the crock pot, combine cream of chicken soup, ranch seasoning mix, chicken broth, garlic powder, onion powder, and black pepper; stir well.
- Add the chicken breasts to the crock pot and coat them with the sauce mixture.
- Cover and cook on low for 6-7 hours or high for 3-4 hours until fully cooked.
- Shred the chicken directly in the crock pot using two forks and mix well into the sauce.
- Stir in sour cream for added creaminess, then garnish with shredded cheese and fresh parsley if desired.
