Ingredients
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 16 oz brown Cremini mushrooms, sliced
- 19.5 oz hot or mild turkey or beef Italian sausage
- 2 red bell peppers, cut into strips
- 2 green bell peppers, cut into strips
- 1/2 teaspoon Italian herb blend
- 1/2 teaspoon Spike Seasoning (or any all-purpose seasoning)
- Fresh-ground black pepper to taste
- 1.5 cups grated mozzarella cheese
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and prepare a non-stick baking dish.
- Sauté sliced mushrooms in olive oil until browned.
- In another pan, brown the sausage until cooked through.
- Layer sautéed mushrooms in the baking dish followed by sautéed peppers and seasonings.
- Add browned sausage on top and finish with mozzarella cheese.
- Bake for about 25 minutes until bubbly and golden.
