Ingredients
- 2 lb thinly sliced sirloin steak or boneless beef chuck roast
- 1 cup beef stock
- 1/2 cup reduced sodium soy sauce
- 1/4 cup brown sugar
- 1 tbsp sesame oil
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 4 tbsp cornstarch
- 4 tbsp water
- 1 bag (12 oz) frozen broccoli florets
- Cooked white rice (optional, for serving)
Instructions
- Prepare the ingredients by slicing the beef and mincing the garlic.
- In a bowl, mix together beef stock, soy sauce, brown sugar, sesame oil, and garlic.
- Place sliced beef in the slow cooker and pour the sauce over it.
- Cook on low for 5–6 hours until beef is tender.
- About 30 minutes before serving, mix cornstarch with water and stir into the crock pot to thicken the sauce.
- Add frozen broccoli during the last 20 minutes of cooking.
- Serve hot over cooked rice if desired.
