- ¼ cup light soy sauce
- ¼ cup dark soy sauce
- ⅓ cup apple vinegar
- ¼ cup hoisin sauce
- ¼ cup brown sugar
- 1 cup water
- Garnish: green onions, sesame seeds
Instructions
- Heat vegetable oil in a large pan over medium heat. Sear the beef belly pieces until browned on all sides (about 5–7 minutes), then set aside.
- In the same pan, sauté minced garlic and sliced ginger for 1–2 minutes until fragrant.
- Return seared beef to the pan and add soy sauces, apple vinegar, hoisin sauce, brown sugar, and water. Stir well to coat.
- Bring to a boil, reduce heat to low, and simmer uncovered for 1 to 1½ hours until beef is tender and sauce thickens into a sticky glaze.
- Adjust seasoning if necessary before serving hot, garnished with chopped green onions and sesame seeds.
